WHAT TO EXPECT

At our clinic, we have therapists and exercise professionals with different training backgrounds who all use the same specialised approach called Be Activated. This means we analyse and correct breathing and movement patterns.

Most people move their bodies using faulty movement and breathing patterns. This means the body does not move correctly in sequence, which leads to overload in predictable areas. These risk areas differ for each person and can result in specific pain, injuries, or poor performance. There is always a reason why our bodies keep breaking down in the same areas.

During your first consultation, we will assess your unique movement patterns and help you understand how these may contribute to your problems.

Once we understand your patterns, we will work on your body to release tight tissues that limit your nervous system’s ability to activate muscles correctly. We start by restoring correct breathing and movement around the hips and pelvis — the body’s “engine room.” From there, we correct movement in sequence toward the extremities.

This approach treats the root cause of pain, injuries, overload, and poor performance from the start, allowing for longer-lasting results.

Interestingly, when we restore correct breathing and movement, it has an immediate impact on the nervous system — often with a dramatic effect on our mental state. Therefore, at this clinic, we continually recognise that our physiology (body) and our mental state (mind) constantly influence one another. We always consider both in order to achieve the best outcomes for our clients.
