ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
Workshop Overview
An engaging workshop over 4 days. Taking the works to a higher level and adding additional approaches to be used in parallel to Be Activated. This is for practitioners that love the work and wants more. This is the next step in your Be Activated journey.
This Advanced Program will begin by working directly with the questions and challenges in the room.
Each delegate will be invited to bring one of the following:
* A question about the BeActivated work.* A challenging client or case they would like to explore.* A specific technique from the Foundation Program or previous workshops that they would like demonstrated or clarified.
This gives us a shared starting point and allows the course to connect directly with the real clinical challenges you face every day.
From here we will look to update the room on the latest developments in foundational techniques, including new ways of applying familiar activations and new methodologies added over the last year. We have added some simple changes that have significantly improved the outcomes.
We will be introducing Spinal Weighting as both an assessment tool and a deeper philosophy.
Spinal Weighting shows where the body is expending excessive energy to maintain its current strategy. It reveals the imploded areas where the body has to use more capacity and energy, either to move the body or to move around the area of restriction. These patterns consistently link with the physiological breakdowns we see in 1-2-3 testing, as well as with the client’s symptoms.
This opens up a different conversation with the body. Rather than measuring only strength or flexibility, we begin by measuring the cost of the body’s current strategy.-Where is the body paying for survival?-Where is it using unnecessary energy?-Where is capacity being consumed before movement even begins?
We will learn to apply activation techniques to demonstrate measurable changes through the lens of Spinal Weighting. This means you will not just be learning new techniques; you will learn how to achieve different outcomes from the work you already use daily.
The next stage of the course will explore safe and unsafe patterns within the body, especially as we work into Zone 3 at the top: the head, neck, arms, and hands. We will look at how to find the edges where the body begins to lose safety, and how to work intelligently to expand those safe ranges. The goal is to increase the body’s range of safety in posture and movement.
You will get the opportunity to experience our new activation tool – The Amazeballs (name to be finalised) explore their influence and value for practitioners and clients.
We will be looking at many additional techniques, refinements, and ideas throughout the four days. Visual Field work will be included if it comes up in the questions and troubleshooting in the room.
At its heart, this program is about understanding the body through a deeper lens:
The body’s job is to keep us alive.
It will sacrifice anything: movement, comfort, performance, freedom, and even quality of life if it believes that is the safest option and keeps us alive.
Our role as practitioners is to understand what that survival strategy is costing, and to help the body discover a less expensive way to stay safe.
In simple terms:
More energy is available, and less energy is required.
This is not a replacement for the Foundation Program. It is the next step in the thinking behind the work.We look forward to exploring this with you.

About Carel Wildenboer
As a young physiotherapist, Carel set his sights on changing the world! He quickly realized that standard interventions often provide only short-term improvements. He always believed there had to be more—a way to achieve sustainable results.
In 2010, Carel attended his first Be Activated course, an experience that would dramatically shape his career over the next decade. Armed with the knowledge he gained, he founded CW Physios in Durban, South Africa. Over the following 10 years, he expanded the practice by opening multiple branches and leading a large team of specialized therapists.
In 2020, Carel relocated with his family to Melbourne, Australia, where he established The Activation Clinic. He continues to work as a specialist therapist with individuals and teams, offering expert care and innovative approaches.
Carel is also an international educator, presenting training courses in the Be Activated methodology. He collaborates closely with its founder, Douglas Heel, sharing a mutual passion for transforming the health industry.
